Disability Rights Commission becomes the Equality and Human Rights Commission
The 1st of October sees the merging of the individual equality commissions: the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE), the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) and the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) to become one organisation.
Having worked with the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) for since its inception, we are sad to see them go and thrilled to be helping the Equality and Human Rights Commission with their training requirements in terms of getting staff to be knowledgeable and confident in dealing with disabled people and disability issues.
